With Bubbe’s and the doctor’s approval, we’ve established the Chicken Soup Hotline, providing free hot chicken soup deliveries to sick college students in Pittsburgh. This feature is one of the many benefits of being a parent of a student attending college in Pittsburgh.
Anytime during the school year, you simply call us and let us know your student isn’t feeling well and we will deliver Chicken Soup to your student’s door!
This is what we do…
From chicken soup deliveries to High Holiday celebrations, weekly Shabbat Dinners, Israel advocacy and social justice programs, the Hillel Jewish University Center of Pittsburgh (Hillel JUC) serves the growing Jewish student population in the country’s most livable city, as ranked by The Economist in February 2011. All of these critical programs are funded entirely by the generosity of parents, alumni and friends of the Hillel JUC.
This is what we do…
With our eight dedicated staff members, the Hillel JUC serves 2500 undergraduate students at our area universities. We offer students the opportunity to craft programs and initiatives both on campus and at the Hillel JUC that are personally meaningful and engaging to the greater student population. We provide the opportunity for students to take ownership of their own personal “Jewish Journey” while helping to create a dynamic Jewish community.
Please join Parents Circle which supports our important work as we offer everything from chicken soup (vegetarian option available) to no-fee Shabbat dinners. Your annual donation to Parents Circle will ensure that all students have a warm and welcoming Jewish experience on campus.
