Family Ties
It's not too late to get involved with Family Ties, Hillel JUC's new program that matches students with Jewish families in the Pittsburgh area. Families can provide for a welcoming place to celebrate holidays; a connection to the Jewish Community of Pittsburgh; or simply a place to hang out, have fun, enjoy a home-cooked meal -- just a home away from home. One participating student says, “It’s heartwarming to know that if I ever need anything my ‘family’ is just a phone call away. Without Family Ties I wouldn’t feel as connected with the Pittsburgh Community as I do now.” We have several families that are anxiously awaiting their student match. If you're interested in participating in such a rewarding program, and enjoying the perks of finding your home away from home, please fill out the student application at this site:
