and Mujadarrah (rice & lentils) as the vegetarian options

there will also be cookies and brownies for dessert

 How to pay for you Shabbat Meal

As you may have heard, our Shabbat dinners can no longer be fully subsidized by the community. Starting this week, Sept. 4th, students will be responsible for a third of the cost of the dinner ($6).

Just a reminder there is there are several ways to pay for your Shabbat Dinner list below. 

Panther Funds and Plaid Cash - Stop by Hillel any time during the week pay with you Panther Funds or Plaid cash

Hilleljuc.org - Starting on the week of Sept 1, you can go to our website and pay with a credit card,  look for the link to Shabbat payments.  Click here to purchase your Shabbat dinner tickets: https://hilleljuc.wufoo.com/forms/shabbat-dinner-tickets/

Good old Cash - feel free to stop by the building at anytime during the week to pay for Shabbat dinner with cash or a check.

Hillel JUC is launching a new group called BIKUR CHOLIM. 

Bikur Cholim means to visit the sick.  If you are interested in joining this group or just learning more about the Mitzvah of Bikur Cholim, there be meeting on Friday, September 4, 2009 at 2:45 at Hillel. If you cannot attend or have any questions , please contact Becca Stern (rrs25@pitt.edu)

The Iran Task Force of Pittsburgh's petition campaign, which we have launched in collaboration with United Against Nuclear Iran, is now up and running.

Please go to http://www.irantaskforce.org/ and you'll find that the petition is just one click away.

More importantly, please circulate our Web link – or just forward this email – to everyone on your personal and professional email lists.

It's critical that we collect as many signatures – online or otherwise – as possible.

 GREEN TIP OF THE WEEK

Limit the use of paper napkins. Since college students eat a good deal of fast food, napkin use can add up. It's good that you want to be clean, but one napkin will probably do the trick!
