your fellow Jews do on a Friday night, but are too
afraid or embarrassed to ask? Want to know why we
even do what we do? If you want to learn more about
a typical Friday night at Hillel, come to the
Danforth Lounge in the UC @ 8pm. We’ll cover
everything from lighting Shabbat candles to
religious services, breaking the bread to grace
after meals. Whether you’re Orthodox, Conservative,
Reform, secular, or just plain curious, join us as
we discuss what Shabbat is like at Hillel. Drinks

Wednesday War Relief Telethon for Israel
Wednesday, September 20th Due to the
significant and urgent needs as a result of the war
in Israel, the United Jewish Federation of
Pittsburgh is focused on programming and fundraising
designated for Israel. Together with other
communities around North America, the UJF hopes to
raise more than $500 million! Pittsburghers have
already pledged over $5.2 million, and you can
increase that figure! We need you, Israel needs
you! Please
join the UJF, 234 McKee Place 5:15-8:00pm to
support the effort by phoning. Come with friends,
enjoy Middle Eastern food, and have fun while
