Library News
Thank you for visiting our new library section of the Hillel Jewish University's center website. We invite our members to check us out! Here you may view our policies, and other library information. Recently, we finished classifying the books in the library. Currently, we are in the process of creating two card catalogs for in-house use, and an online shelf list version of the catalog for you to access. You may check this area often for the latest library news.
Our Collection
The Hillel JUC Kann Library collects Judaica books to serve the needs of the Hillel community, which consists primarily of undergraduate and graduate students, and other members from the Jewish Community of Pittsburgh, PA. The books are classified according to the Elazar Classification System for Libraries of Judaica. The library has Judaica books ranging from Jewish cooking to Jewish history. In addition, the library has a reference collection that includes Reform, Conservative, and Orthodox sources.
