Our Honoree: Barbara Shapira

A caring and compassionate individual active in a variety of non-profit organizations, Barbara Shapira is the Immediate Past President of the Edward and Rose Berman Hillel Jewish University Center and currently serves on its Executive Board. She has been a member of the Governing Board for over a decade. Barbara became actively involved with the Hillel JUC because of her commitment to Jewish continuity, and she is convinced that maintaining a vibrant Jewish campus life is a key factor in keeping college students linked to their Jewish heritage. Barbara often says that she is inspired by the students she meets, and through them, she sees a promising future for the Jewish community -- one that promotes diversity and enriches our community.

Sponsorships and Tributes are a great way to honor Barbara, and the benefits of the various levels are detailed here. Tickets to the event and the Tribute Reception, called "Backstage at the Hillel JUC" are included with all of the sponsorships, but vary in number depending on level.
